Lottiemansion Vista Guru Gold Member Dec 30, 2011 #2 Hi, The default setting is usually "Maximum"! The maximum speeds for me are 126x CD (18900KB/sec) & 16x DVD (22160KB/sec). The speed is usually capped by the recording medium (CD or DVD), OK? Some burners say they can burn DVD's at higher rates but they don't tell you that you need a specific brand of DVD and probably a specific type.
