Vista doesnt detect any cdrom???

Thanks for another link, but unfortunately I havent got use of the pc at the min. Now the mouse isnt working but checked in devices and shows up as working fine??? Also, I cant get system restore now, says its turned off! Maybe need a pro to look at it.
