My Vista crashes after booting up. I have just rebuilt the system to see if that would clear the problem but it has not.
After log-on , I get a blue screen and a system dump. After restarting, the computer may then go a long time before crashing again. It may not crash until it is turned off in the evening and restarted the next day.
The dump file says
Probem event Name: Bluescreen
OS version 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Local ID 2057
BCP Code 1000008e
BCP1 C000001D
BCP2 975226FF
BCP3 820F0D74
BCP4 00000000
OS version 6_0_6000
Service Pack 0_0
Product 768_1
This has happened since the computer was new. Techguys say that ir must be a software problem but it happens on a clean install, so it must be something that has always been there, presumably.
Any advice on what to do next would be very welcome.
