upgrade to windows 7

Anyone tinking of upgrading from Vista to Windows 7? Are there any advantages?

Hi there olivercromwell,

I'm definitely considering a move (i already pre ordered the ultimate version) to Windows 7. I've been using Windows XP as my primary OS a long way back until about 4 months ago when I started to do the upgrade to Vista. My DVD was sitting at my desk for more than a year. My move to Vista instilled some odd things with my applications and usage. I've joined the beta testing up to the RC release of Windows 7 and surprisingly, no application glitches, better performance and some gui changes that accommodated to my taste. I've read a about a lot more improvements since the RC version so I'd definitely recommend it. Although since it's a new OS there might be some application issues. I sound contradicting right now so let me explain. Not everyone is using the applications I am. Other users including you might have a set of different applications which you use and I don't. I'd recommend that you give it a try then purchase if satisfied. Hope this sheds some light.
