Hi Jacee,

Wow, very nice of you to give me so many instructions and help with everything, that's a lot of stuff.

I am following your steps and I'm currently running a full scan with MSE. It's been an hour so far and it looks like it has quite a bit of time to complete. I'm not sure how long it will take so I wanted to follow up to let you know I was working on it. I will follow up when it's complete (might be in the am at this rate..lol).

Okay, now if you haven't updated Java, please do this:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u22 allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u22-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.
Also update Adobe Reader Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows

Delete the Combofix that you have on your desktop. Download it again following my above instructions and post a fresh Combofix log.

Looks good. There is an item Id like you to find ... c:\windows\system32\drivers\rrrwqybk.sys
You may have to unhide hidden fiels and folders. To do that click on the Folders option in the control panel, click the view tab, uncheck "don't show Hidden files and folders" and "Hide Extentions for Known File Types".

Once you've found it, upload it to VirSCAN.org - Free Multi-Engine Online Virus Scanner v1.02, Supports 36 AntiVirus Engines! and have it scanned.
Save the results and let me know.

I've followed your steps and I double checked, but I cannot see/find the Item Id you have asked me to locate in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\folder. I attached a screen shot to show you where I am looking for it.

Replace with Spyware Blaster by Javacool (free) SpywareBlaster® | Prevent spyware and malware. Free download.
Update it and then click "enable all protection". Keep this program updated!

Next, rehide hidden files and folders, then create a 'fresh/clean restore point'.
Turn OFF, reboot, Turn ON by following this tutorial: System Protection - Turn On or Off - Windows 7 Forums

I finished everything. Do you think I am all set now? It's GOT TO BE in better shape than it was before with all of the help you gave me.

I haven't had the initial problem of the BSOD again, but to be honest, I have only done exactly what you instructed me to do since you began helping me, so I haven't spent time on it otherwise. It seemed to only occur when I used it online, so I guess I'll have to wait and see if it reappears, but so far so good.

There was a lot of time spent of this and I can't thank you enough for your excellent help, guidance & patience. :D

You should be good to go. Keep all security software up to date and use Secunia's Personal Software Inspecter to keep vulnerable applications up to date.
