ok so I'm back already, I just put my spy ware doctor back on, its almost done scanning, everything is working great so far, now I want to learn how to have my computer only start up the basic programs unless I call on them, does that make sense? I dont want the web cam to load, all those messy looking icons at the bottom right of my screen, so how do I do something like this?

OK so I'm being told that I dont need windows defender because I have Spy Ware Doctor, that they will clash and cause problems? Is this right or a do not do?

There is no more Defender. When Microsoft Securities came out, Defender was included as part of that software.
Part 2 Msconfig applies to you.

Sorry misspoke, I meant to say not needed because its part of MSE.

If you truly want the best protections you should turn Defender off.
Use Microsoft Security Essentials
Malwarebytes
Windows Firewall
and
Spywareblaster.

These are used by many of the members and known to work perfectly together.
