hello lemur
that did it ... TS (Local) back to normal upon opening TS..
If I change mcupdate.old back to mcupdate will error box return.
Curious, what may have caused issue and why file name change resolved issue. Is it OK to leave mcupdate.old or ?

Appears we had similar issue and lemur fix worked for us..
I posted reply followup Q to lemur (has not responded)...
I now realize lemur may not have responded because "mcupdate" is gone and Media Center files are now dated 11/06...I purchased box 04/08 and OEM Software has 02 and 03/08 install dates.
Might you know.. what may have caused our issue and why file name change resolved issue....and why Media Center files are now so old?
