A Ardneh Vista Guru Jul 27, 2009 #2 Unless you actually need the programs to load at start you could select and disable them on the startup list. Ardneh My Computer System One Manufacturer/Model Compaq/SR5130NX CPU AMD AthlonTM 64x2 3800+ Memory 4 GB Graphics card(s) NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

A Ardneh Vista Guru Jul 27, 2009 #4 First - Restart and note what programs specifically Windows is notifying about. Then: See also: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html Start > All Programs > Windows Defender > Tools > Software Explorer > Show for All Users. In the left panel scroll and highlight programs Windows was blocking and click Disable at the bottom of the right panel.
