Start up error: Winpeshl.exe .... CFGMGR32.dll was not found

I have no idea whats going on, come to my computer i try to start it up and it says "Winpeshl.exe - unable to locate component This application has failed to start because CFGMGR32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

can anyone let me know what that program is? this one : CFGMGR32.dll

Hi wtfvista, welcome to the board.

You may try repair first by booting from the Vista disk then select repair and let it do its work. If it didn't fix it then try reinstall.

Hi,

That is windows configuration manager service dll.

Try this,

Go to command prombt by typing cmd in run, a black window will open, In that window type regsvr32(space)cfgmgr32.dll and press enter.

I seem to be having the same problem, the program I am unable to open (due to the same error) is sp6i386.exe, as well as sp6patch_i386.exe

I did what you said by running cmd and then regsvr cfgmgr32.dll and the results came out like this:

cfgmgr32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.

This file can not be registered.

Pls reply ASAP, trying to fix an annoying bluescreen bug (0XF89A6590, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0X804D9F6C)
