Solved Speakers failed after instaltion of SP2

I have installed a driver so I will restart the comp and see if this fixes it

Yeah they work you are my new best friend thanks a lot.
I downloaded from the VIA website the Driver HDAv500b and it had a setup installer in it but now an odd this is both are reading High Def Audio Device from microsoft and none from VIA. Oh well who care as long as the are working right.

You nailed it. You do know you actually did it. I just helped to guide you in the right direction. Im glad that you got it working.
Your prior driver may have been incompatible with SP2, but thats fixed now.
