now....the guy says it is only the 32 bit dvd....and that it is "sealed"..and OEM

hmmmmm... could the vista ultimate, from the OEM system, have two dvds, and they are wrapped/sealed -individually- then wrapped together, then delivered with the system?

just askin, and hey! it sounds a little fishy that the 32 is for sale, but the 64 is not any where to be found!



I already have 32 bit, so no big deal....

Well, if he is selling an OEM copy, then I would avoid it. A OEM version can only come with one of them though.

I bought a second one, and now run 2 Velociraptors in RAID0... def a HUGE performance increase.

now the story is that the seller got the disks given to him "for being a student at my university"

they are "OEM, (that just mean that they dont have the fancy retail box) they are full versions and will work on any computer" is what the seller is saying ....

sounds fishy, no?

You might see if you can get one from your university as well.

That would be a student edition then most likely. It can be installed on any computer.

the university disk or a promo copy disk of window vista will say ....


not for resale or OEM distribution

and---the OEM copies that ship with a computer...

that says..
"for distribution with a new PC only"

so, that is from a MS vista phone support rep I talked to regarding another issue.

meh, for now, I am staying with what came with my system,

(but, I might change my mind in 5 mins!)
