Yes, it appears I can still edit and save most of my documents. I use Vista on a very limited basis.

I'm still not sure what an "icon list" is. Is this an actual icon? If so,
what is it's format? For info, I have Word 2007.

Okay. If I knew the format of the files your trying to import into Word, I could give it a try and possibly, come up with a solution.
