Solved Replacing Hard drive in a HP Pavillion dv5

Yes, the battery in the dv5 seems to die after a couple years (i havent had it that long)
but windows 7 increases battery life from my view.

And yes actually, I got the hard drive but I have yet to install it.

Its a 320gb hdd, its not much but its enough.

I'd heard that Windows 7 is a little less power hungry than Vista, but I could not get much information about it. One place indicated it may be a 4 to 10% improvement. Testimonials were sketchy at best. I ended up deciding that Vista Ultimate would be better for me than W7 Home Premium.
