Registry cleaner

I bought RegZooker this year as I have had registry cleaning software before. This software is very good and is one of the only ones that states it will remove 100% of faults.

The sales pitch is "Are you receiving error messages such as: dll error, invalid file, startup errors, missing files, sound problems, missing fonts, empty registry keys, application errors, runtime errors, invalid ActiveX keys, or computer crashes? RegZooka registry cleaner fixes these problems and all other error codes so your computer runs like new".

I think it is brilliant, but there are much cleverer people than me that may tell you otherwise on here, so please await a response to this from them before using this. Anyway here's the link if you are interested:-

RegZooka Registry Cleaner Software – Remove 100% of Errors from Your PC

If you are offered 'SpyZooker' alone with the package DO NOT ACCEPT IT! This software has numerous faults and glitches that I have found out to my cost!!

I hope this is of benefit to other people on here. PS I am not on commission!! :D

Hello I don't use the registry cleaners, one thing after your contract is up and you go to uninstall them they delete things in your system so you will return and buy there product, but I would suggest you look at this free software.

CCleaner Download | C Cleaner Review, Testimonials | Free CCleaner

Hi I am fully aware of CCleaner, but it does not guarantee cleaning 100% of redundant parts from your registry; RegZooker does! I suppose the old adage that you get what you pay for, is correct.

Mind you if a programme does keep your registry 100% efficient, why wouldn't you want to buy it again when the term finished?

My point is that I have done some research, used other programmes, and this programme is the best in my view. Each person must make their own informed descision and decide accordingly.

Cheers

Hi Lancelot,
The use of Registry cleaners, as you state is up to each persons personal choice.
My choice is to be very wary of them & their 'supposed' benefits.
I do not know enough about them technically myself,& not done any research, but reading posts from some members of the forum, more experienced than myself indicate that they have to be used with 'CAUTION'.

Also the user has to be, in my opinion, somewhat aufait with computers, otherwise they can inflict damage.
Web adverts for many products relay the advantages to the consumer, but omit sometimes the disadvantages to a
less qualified operator.

I for one read the small print for the 'catches'.
If it works for you, great. For others, who knows?

Then you have the old adage 'If it's not broken, why fix it'

Richc46, I have used this for over 6 months and think it is very good. You will notice in my initial post that I stated the SpyZooka should not be used because of it's faults.

To use a carte Blache statements, 'Dont use them' without checking the software and seeing what it does, is unacceptably closed minded. I am a professional in what I do, and due to my training proof test things before making a statements. This item does not give the user entry to 'Registry', it only removes old keys etceter from the system that may have become unusable due to the programme being removed or updated.

It is just common practice around here to not recommend registry cleaners, since it's not obvious of most peoples skill level with computers and there are numerous threads of problems being caused by them.

That being said, you seem to have more knowledge than most on them, there is no blanket statement for or against, to each their own, but as I'm sure you are aware, a tool in inexperienced hands can be dangerous.

Thanks for your info though, I'm sure it will help someone.

Derekimo, I fully unstand what you are saying and I do know how to enter the registry and remove anything unwanted without effecting my registry. Perhaps it may have been beter to not put this up, if you think it should be removed I will do so, but due to the simplicity of the programme I would and do use it, but as you say, maybe it is not for the inexperienced and that should be mentioned.

There's always time for intelligent discussion.

A disclaimer is always helpful, if for no other reason than the majority of visitors to these forums are un registered guests just reading posts and tutorials.

I don't think it needs to be removed, the mods or admin can make that decision, if you are just mentioning your experience with something that you find useful,

although I believe the preference here is to recommend free software so that it's not implied that the forum is promoting a certain product.

Hello!

I have got quite a bit to say! lol.

That website seems very aggressive to me. It seems to me as though they are desperate for support. And this 100% thing is the one main thing which puts me off.

Windows is not open source. These programs are trying to reverse engineer Windows. Reverse engineering is ultimately guesswork. Guesswork is not 100%.

Therefore, if it weren't for the touchy nature of Registry Cleaners, I would say that this website was lying to me, and any website maliciously lying to me is one I shall avoid.

I cannot find this guarantee. I assume that it is worded something along the lines of 100% attempted fixes of "errors" found. I think that that is misleading.

And the website doesn't even display correctly! If they can't even get the website right, can they reverse engineer Windows!?

And the errors they claim to fix have causes which often lie outside of the registry.

And it looks so similar to SpyZooker that I think that they are made by the same people, so why should I trust this. And even the name sounds a bit dodgy, although that is of course my opinion.

I also find their Testimonials very odd. Just look at the websites under each name. I cannot place a finger on it exactly, but those testimonials make my gut instinct fire up like a shamooli flare.

Ah, just found it:

Read testimonials from customers who have purchased RegZooka registry cleaner software. RegZooka is the only software that guarantees 100% removal of errors from your PC, including runtime errors and startup errors. RegZooka registry cleaner is also the number one choice of computer experts worldwide.
Now I ask myself this question: Is there any way I could break my computer, stop it from booting, without entering the registry?

System32 Error – Resolves errors caused by corrupt or missing system files.
Does this run SFC?

I am very sceptical. I don't really like Uniblue, but I think that it is legit. This one just makes me very suspicious.

I shall download it to a Virtual PC. I shall delete a non-crucial system file from the store and System32. And I shall run this program. I shall see if it can fix it.

I shall then run through all of those errors.

Our guarantee covers 100% removal of the following computer error codes:

How can it say that? Just how can it say that! And if it downloads a replacement file from its website, we can catch it doing something illegal.

Does anybody think that this website is not in the slightest bit dodgy?

Richard

That is why I said DO NOT use 'Spyzooker' because the software has too many glitches. Uniblue is a company recommended by microsoft and 'RegZooker' is better than Uniblue's Registry programme. I have tested both.

Richard,

Go to independent web sites to get reviews. I also do not think the website is dodgy, but would like you to clarify why you think so, so we may benefit from your view.

Although our opinions are different, I think that your post has done the forum a service. Others can now see different opinions and can do what they think is best.
The mission of this forum is to give information, sometimes its subjective, and it is best that all sides have an opportunity.

Agreed Rich.

Hello!

I am not going to disagree with your view. From what I can make out, you have had no problems with it, and you haven't found it to be a scam. I posted my slightly extremist views, to be compared to everybody elses views. I can't really explain why, but that website just looked dodgy to me.

I can see that you have had no problems, and I am therefore not going to recommend its removal, at all.

Richard

As stated previously, I have had no problems with RegZooka, but had problems with SpyZooka and would recommend that no one uses it. That again, is my personal view. I am trying to be objective and honest.
