red alert 1 on vista

hi.
i downloaded an iso file for red alert 1 from the westwood site. i then burned it to a dvd. i then tryed to install it but it wont finish. it says "windows 6.0 is running. this game is for use on windows 95". it wont even install so i cant try it in compatabilty mode im running vista home premium. does any1 know of a patch or other way to make it work???

i found the following thread Details for Command and Conquer : Red Alert and download the file from reply #12053 but now when i try to play the game it says "the procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

red alert 1 isnt worth resolving, get red alert 2, its $3 on steam right now and it works.
