Random crashes in just about any videogame

I had the same kind of thing happen with an Nvida 6800 from BFG, I had to return it to the vendor 6 times before they sent me a 7800 which fixed the problem.

I hope your luck is better than mine, that was painful.

Now that I remember, I had similar problems with my rig freezing/locking on me and it turned out to be the drivers for my monitor. This may not be the same problem you are having but, perhaps, worth trying?

See if your Device Manager shows your Monitor or if all you have is a Generic P&P Monitor? if the latter, check for x64 drivers for it.

That corsair PSU seems to be a good psu but I would be weary with just because you run a lot of devices.

I have a Toughpower 600w and I can't run my Evga GTX260 + ECS 8800GT w/o hindering fps's, as soon as I take the 8800GT out, my system runs much better... seat of the pants benchmark only though.

I took the drivers out with Driver Sweeper and I'm now running registry cleaner.

It looks like it's taking a long time so I'll install the driver tomorrow and check and check the device manager then.

thank for all the help so far !

My Computer

It shows Generic P&P Monitor in the device manager so I also found a driver for that and now it's just up to me to try if this has fixed anything.
