Quickest way to install service packs on Vista?

Hello everyone, after the amazing help I have received on here about backing up and reinstalling Vista on my for my friend, I now need more assistance!

You see, I was wondering if there's a quicker way of installing all of the relevant service packs for Vista, in one go? Just trying to get the laptop sorted ASAP, as my mate is off his hols tomorrow, and I'd love to have it up and running for him

Download the major packs first and just run 2 or 3 big SPs
Learn how to install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2)

The downloads patonb referenced can be used but they or not cumulative so they must be installed one at a time in order.

Having the latest installer with Service Pack 2 is your best option.

Yeh I just had to go from ground zero it took 2 days SP1, SP2 and a very brief SP3, for how long will MS make these available?

No offense but how can we know if/when Microsoft removes services pack downloads from their website? Best thing to do is to keep them downloaded. Also there is no Vista SP 3.

Oh I thought this was SP3 ?? so it is just a compatability thing....
