Evening all,
I had to do a restore of my system after a problem, and I'm now having problems accessing my net router.
The router itself seems to be all set up correctly, it's one that is used with cable connections, and in the interface it shows as having an internet connection, and when the laptop is wired into the router I can access the net but wirelessly I can't.
I've set the router up to use a 128 bit wep key for protection, but when I go into the network bit where you can see the available networks, when I click on mine it doesn't ask for the WEP key. Instead it asks for a username, password and domain.
I did try to connect to it earlier but couldn't remember the wep key so I had to reset the router, so is there a chance that the laptop is still trying to connect to the old settings? How do I go about searching for new networks as I can't see an option as I'm hoping if I can delete it and then find it again I should then be able to log on.
The laptop has built in wireless which I'm using, along with the vista network software for connecting to networks.
Thanks
Lee
