OpenAL + Kaspersky Anti-Virus = riskware
Anyone know why Kaspersky Anti-Virus sees the lastest version of Creative Labs' OpenAL (oalinst.exe) as malware/riskware?
I had on old copy of openal and it was detected as malware/riskware, so I re-downloaded it from Creative Labs' website here:
Home - OpenAL , and it too gives the same warning under Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.
I use 3DMark06 under vista64 and it requires the latest version of OpenAL to run.
Anyone else seen this? Is it cause for concern?
Thanks

Can you please post a picture of the alert that pops up near the clock. It would be much more useful to find out why Kaspersky detected it as malicious... I personally am interested.

Here you go. The warnings by the red arrow are are the same and listed below:
"11/26/2008 12:43:20 PM Running process E:\BENCHMARKS\OALINST.EXE: detected modification of riskware 'Worm.P2P.generic'."
The locations are where the file was downloaded to and exercuted from.
I basically added it to my safe zone.

Have you ran full scan lately...
Remember, certain worms can infect the mot innocent files during the transfer... Any P2P worm is extremely dangerous... so now I'm worried.
