No video after clean install

I installed Vista on Gateway Mseries, install was normal, no errors, but when i restaarted it and it came back up the screen is dark, the backlite is working but I do not get any video at all, tried to go in on safemode, same thing.
Any ideas?

Wow.... Default windows drivers should work to atleast show the screen.

Did you see the bios screen?

Hmmmmm, The screen could be fully darrkend, try upping the contrast, use fn + 5 or 6.

I have the external vga also hooked up, same result, BIOS screen shows up fine and so does the start menu when you hit F8, have not run into this before

Try upping the contrast... I've not heard bout it either.

Hello Thunderdogar, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might also see if you may be able select Enable Low Resolution Video (640 X 480) in Advanced Boot Options (F8) to see if you may get video afterwards to be able to install your video driver.

You might try doing another clean install to see if this installation may have gotten corrupted somehow.
