Solved No Network Adapter found after reformatting

hello i have seen a lot of people having problems with this but nothing specific to what is happening to us. everything was working perfectly and after reformatting our Inspiron 1545 laptop with vista 32bit it shows no network adapter or ethernet adapter and can not connect to the internet. when we go into device manager it shows the network adapters under hidden. we have been reformated clean twice now and both times the same thing. before we reformatted they were working perfectly. if anyone has any information we would greatly appreciate it. thank you for your time

Did you install your ethernet network adapter's driver for Vista 32-bit and your specific laptop model number?

we reformatted using a new copy and not her copy from the laptop. we have no way of installing the drivers because we have no access to the internet from the computer.

You could use another computer to download them from, and put the driver installation file on a USB key or CD/DVD to use to install on your computer with.

we tried the usb device, and when we try to install it tells us we have to be connected to the internet to install the drivers from the usb device. we have a friend mailing us a backup windows xp disc so hopefully that will solve the issue. will let you know in a couple of days she had vista pro on before and we tried vista home so might be problem with that

What happens if you copy the driver to your desktop, and install it from there instead?

we got it working thank you for your help, we just had to find the correct driver

I would greatly appreciate if you guys let me know how you fixed that problem. I'm going through that same thing right now. I am on reformat #3 and i keep things to see if maybe I'm doing something wrong and all I've found is that I'm not qualified to fix it. Can you please help? I really don't want to give up.
