.NET wants to update and old version

I have just got a notification in windows update that i need to update my .net framework 3.5 (which isn't even installed) to 3.5 SP1 when i already have version 4 extended

do i need to do this or not

I would just right click on it and set to hide. It will be there if ever needed, just not installed.

Although in description this is update for 3.5 this update relate to 3.0 as well (each Vista have built-in NET 3.0),this is normal and I recommend install these updates.
