Solved My Laptop is Overheating

I got a Acer laptop and I know the cooling fan has been busted a while, I have been using a chiller pad single fan, but it still is overheating...well at least to the touch... I did also have a small fan blowing over the keyboard too but that has also burnt out due to it being overused..... I know there is a temp alarm software, I seen the links for it here, but I cant find it..... I am getting a chiller pad 2 fan tommorrow from ebay 1 dollar 1.60 shipping, but it wont be here for 3 to 4 weeks....

After this conversion I will open up my laptop and see if it needs cleaning..... If so I will do that, I dont have the canned air sio I will use my own air........BLOW HARD....

You need to test with speed fan, Ill get the link.

There are others here that prefer other software. Their opinion is no better or worse than mine, You must make the final choice.

76 C is about 190 F. Kind of hot.

I got the temp down a bit, and the fan is working.... I need to know how to configure the speedfan to cool my computer better.. I dont know my clock etc and the settings I need to work it right....

I cleaned out the dust from the vents and fan with a brush and blowing into a straw...(I got no compressed air except in my lungs lol....

I guess if I got it cooled withiout having to setup config man I should be fine.... As it seems I got it cooled down quite a bit

Core Temp

30C at load is extremely low. I'd expect 40-45 on a laptop cpu.

I found out why the famn on my USB LED Light/Fan combo isnt working..... Turns out a wire is broken.... Lucky My Sister in Law Dragged me to Target tonight and I bought a 6.99 dollar fan 4inch silver Room Essentials brand.. I think this brand is exclusive to Target..... Works great.. I use it on myself and my computer when I am not using it... AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Breeze...lol) Summer here in AZ is bad, gets really hot, last year it got in eccess of 128 degrees f...50 deg C.....Too hot....... I am hoping the combination of my fan and the 2 fan cooling pad I bought off ebay will keep my baby cool and sweet running...

Hi,

Auto settings in NVIDIA control panel are those which control the temperature of the system. It will check the fans revolution per minute and temperature. Actually it is always better to keep your system in an air-conditioned room which won’t result in overheating. By installing the case fans, it will divert heat out of your computer and increase the air-flow.
