Mounting with daemon tools

Well im trying to mount a ISO file with daemon tools version 4.12.3.

It's in Finnish and says that : "Autorun stopped working, windows is checking to solve this problem".

Well i tried to enable daemon tools in this autorun crap in : control panel -> system -> systems preferences -> executive function -> the on in up. And i added daemon tools there, clicked use and ok then i rebooted and still that annoying thing is there when im trying to mount.

Don't worry, I reported your other thread for deleting - let's use this one.

FWIW, I have Daemon Tools automatically asking on 3 ISOs that I have loaded every time I boot - so Autorun works, *and* it works in Vista X64 too (which is what I am using now - a month ago I was on Vista x86 (32bit).

So, let's start with this:

1. What OS are you running *specifically* (name, version, Service Pack level)
2. What version of Daemon Tools are you running? Free or Pro? What version of the SPTD tools do you have?
3. Have you tried enabling the Automount option in Daemon Tools?
4. Do *any* mounted images pop up the autorun dialog?
5. Have you tried uninstalling Daemon Tools and then installing the latest version from their website?

1. Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Dunno what service pack but i installed a huge update so i think it was sp1
2. Daemon Tools Lite 4.12.3, they said on another thread that this works on vista 64bit
3. Yeah. still giving the same error.
4. Only have tried one.
5. Nope, but i have tested MagicISO and some other program and getting the same errors

E: Should i try to burn in to a cd/dvd and then when put it to my driver in launches the install

Can you please look, instead of just guessing? We need specifics.

Daemon Tools Lite comes in both a 32 bit version and a 64 bit version - ***you need to install the 64 bit version***

Does autorun work for your physical DVD drive?

Well as i already said there was a link for Daemon tools lite 4.12.3 for vista 64bit in another thread, and i installed it.
Autorun works for my phusical DVD drive
Well gotta burn a ISO image to a cd and put it to this computer
E: Those other ISO files are like 6-7 GB and my DVD+RW can only handle 4.7 GB so i have to borrow a outside hard drive

If you are making ISOs of your DVDs, make sure it works in your DVD autorun, and then I'd suggest using the *simple* yet effective ISO recorder by Alex Feinman: ISO Recorder v3

Obviously, grab the 64bit version....

Of course, if you are also making copies of games CDs, then you'll have to research game copy protection and how to make a 1:1 copy of the entire disc so that the copy protection is also included in the ISO - else, that may be the cause of your problems.

I will test San Andreas soon, i have daemon tools in my xp home edition 32bit and it works great, so i guess i will put my old hard drive to this new pc so it should work. But i have 8gb of memory so it would suck when it would recognize only 3.2 gb or some like that.
E: ffs. then i should install and uninstall all the drivers again

If you try to use your Win XP in another machine it may not boot - that XP will have drivers specific to that machine loaded up, and most times just moving a HDD from one computer to another and trying to boot will not work because of different motherboards, RAM, GAs, etc....

What should i do then ? Install Xp home 64bit ? My friend has vista home premium 32bit and doesnt have any problems and i just keep getting that autorun program window there i will take some screenshots

As I said, I have *no* issues with Daemon tools, autorun and Vista X64 - so it is something on your machine specifically, either the settings or else the copy that you are making.

Again, are you making the copy of the DVD the 8exact* same way your friend is?

First there im trying to mount NHL08
Then comes those 2 boxes on the left and on the there i added daemon tools and magiciso there but still not working. Its in finnish so ask if u have to know something
When i got this pc i didnt do anything just installed Daemon tools and new antivirus. But the OS was installed in the store that i bought this pc.

Did your antivirus come on a CD? if so make a copy of it and see if will work in autorun on Daemon Tools - if not, find another CD that has autorun and make a copy of it and see if it works in Daemon Tools - that will let us know if it is the game specifically or if it is your machine / Daemon Tools install / Vista install.

Sorry, i tested san andreas and it worked fine. there was something wrong with the NHL08 image. But Thanks anyway !
