Mic Not working After upgrade to SP2

So I just upgraded to SP2 because I thought it would finally let me install BF2 (wrong). And now I have the problem That My mic doesn't work. Nothing ever happened to the mic Before/During/After the Upgrade to SP2. Has any one had the same problem and have a solution for it?

Same here, got Vista 32bit :S. Im mad, i really hate Microsoft, feels this is the new deal to force us to buy the first working OS win7 :D. Anyway tried everything i found on support pages all around the globe. Reinstalled drivers tried new ones, disabled motherborad soundcard and activated it (only to find out that the frontpaneljacket dosent work). Got a X-fi SB soundcard, and i have tried both old and new drivers . Even uninstalled vista sp2, but that didnt work either. Flashed and updated both chipset and bios, used jackets on the backside (wont work either). I really have tried everything but nothing works.... either SB gotta relase something new or Microsoft :/
