Location is not available, vista shuts down?

Okay so I come home and turn on my laptop, and it's taking a bit longer to start up. It comes to the login page for my user and i put in my password, then I get this error.

location is not available
c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofi… refers to a location that is
unavailable. it could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network.
check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are
connected to the internet or your network and then try again. if it still
cannot be located the information might have been moved to a different
location.

and withing a couple seconds, it shuts down.
I have windows vista home.

I tried going to last good configuration. No help
I also tried system restore to an earlier point, then it tells me my driver is corrupted, so it doesn't allow me to restore.

HELP?

There are a few things you can try,

1. Download and run Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes.org

2. Download and run CCleaner. (Backup registry when prompted).

3. Follow the instructions in this tutorial.

but i cant even manage to get it to stay on
it automatically shuts down and restarts after it logs on :/

and in command prompt, i get this error when i try and scan
Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service

Try this, go in to the Bios, (keep hitting delete on startup), set first boot device to CD/DVD, when it boots up, boot from CD/DVD, then do a start up repair.

Did you tried to start in safe mode already?

i restored it to an earlier point, and then this error came on when it logged on,

windows must now restart because the plug and play has terminated unexpectedly.

something like that

AND safe mode doesnt work , same deal, after logging on it just shuts down and restarts again

is a little weird your problem,when i said if you tried started up in safe mode,is because the sistem must start in safe mode without any problem at least pressing F2 or F8.

Hey,the only thing i see to try to solve your problem is this:When its booting keep hitting F8, you will get some options, and it should have 'disable automatic reboot on system failure',if this don't results,you must pickup your vista dvd,boot from cdrom and you got many options,so you choose repair the sistem and see if it works.good luck.

try to do this:When its booting keep hitting F8, you will get some options, and it should have 'disable automatic reboot on system failure',if doesn't happens anything,pickup your vista dvd and boot via cdrom and choose REPAIR SISTEM,and see what happens otherwise is serious issue.good luck.
