Latest recommendation on installing 8GB memory in a new Vista 64 install

I just installed Vista x64 clean with 8Gb RAM (4x2Gb) installed from Retail DVD. No problems.

Even knowing that, it can't hurt to just put in one or two sticks and put the rest in later.

Did I have 8GB from the get go ?
If your worried about doing an install with the whole 8GB in it then just take 4GB out and do the install with 4GB in and then soon as Vista is installed drop the other 2 rails/banks in and enjoy.

Yes I planned on it unless someone here suggested success doing otherwise. Thanks for your reply
