Basically, it adds to the list of directories and files for CCleaner to remove so that when CCleaner is run, it will clear out the temporary files for more programs.

If you go to:

C:\Program Files\CCleaner

You will see a file called winapp2.ini

This is the file that CCleaner uses to see where it needs to clean up. CCEnhancer is a small utility that will add to the end of this .ini file hence increasing the amount that CCleaner cleans.

As you can see, there are far more boxes that are available to be ticked which is what CCEnhancer has done.

Right now i am going through the blue screen of death issue and it has not been resolved. I wanted to know if it would help any if I ran the ccleaner. Also, the link you have provided is different from the actually ccleaner site. What is the difference?

Hello cckck,

I wouldn't think that CCleaner would be able to help much with a BSOD issue. I would conitnue to post followup replies or more information at your orignal thread to see if we may be able to help you get it sorted.

The download link for CCleaner on the first page is for all available download versions of CCleaner. It's still at CCleaner's website (Piriform), but just a different page. That's all.
