Here's an (incomplete) list of the most important changes:

• Script Shield now works with Google Chrome, all versions of Firefox and Acrobat Reader
• Improvements in WebRep plugins (especially IE)
• Stability improvements in aswSP.sys and the avast! sandbox
• File system shield: improved on-close scanning
• avast! Internet Security: new antispam engine
• Web Shield and Script Shield: more options in the UI

New avast! v6.0.1352 BETA version is now available.

   Information

This is technically identical to the previous beta build (6.0.1351) but the updater is now fixed.
This means two things:

A) You can update using the 6.0.1352 installer to do an update from any previous build (without losing your settings)

B) You will stay on the beta stream and so won't be offered "downgrade" to the previous official build (1289) anymore.

I apologize for the problems the previous beta might have caused.

Known issues
- In some cases, WebRep Chrome plugin is not installed correctly
- The Safezone browser is opening each time when you switch back and to the Safezone
- Plugins for Outlook 2k3 and 2k7 show "runtime error" message
- Sometimes autosandbox toaster does not close correctly
- Problems with avast sounds on Win 7 and Win Vista
- Remote assistance feature sometimes crashes on Win 7 32b, Win Vista 64b
- avast! account functionality is disabled

Issue with activation/registration though. It is a known issue, there is a thread on the Avast! Forums about it: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93979.0

Until this matter is resolved, you can register by filling in this form: Register avast! Free Antivirus A reply, containing the key and instructions, will be sent to the email address specified. To install the key, open the main Avast! program and click on the Maintenance tab and then the Registration sub-tab. Under Offline registration, click on Insert the license key and paste the key you have copied from the email you received. Clicking on Registration form takes you to the form I mentioned above.
