Solved Laptop freezes

[grrrrrr]

Hi there, I have this huge problem with my laptop, it's always freezing. It's freezes about 10 to 15 times a day, even if I'm just working on Microsoft Office. Sometimes it freezes just after the boot. When it freezes nothing at all works, I can't do Ctrl+Alt+Del, I can't move the mouse and the only option is to remove the battery and then reboot it.
At first I thought it was a registry problem, so I downloaded a program to clean my registry but the freezing continued. Then I thought I had some sort of a virus but my scan showed that my computer is virus free. Then I downloaded Mestest86+ and ran a memory test but it showed that I have no memory problems.
I don't know what else can it be...Thanks in advance for any help.

Laptop specs (Toshiba Qosmio F50-11X):
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9550
RAM: 4,096 (2,048 + 2,048) MB
HDD: 640 (320 + 320) GB

You haven't said whether you've tried a System Restore from Safe Mode.
Restoring to a point before the problems began may help.

Thanks for the response :D Indeed, I haven't tried that. How do I do that? It's just that I really don't want to do a full system restore...

If you don't want to do a full system recovery, you can do a simple Restore from Safe Mode like this:

Shut down your PC. After a few seconds, start it up again, and immediately begin tapping continuously on the F8 key.
When a text menu shows on the screen, be sure that Safe Mode is highlighted.
(You can move between choices with the arrow keys on your key board).

With Safe Mode highlighted press Enter.

Once the Safe Mode desktop loads, click the Start orb, type Restore
and click on System Restore at the top of the menu.

The System Restore wizard will guide you. Choose a restore point before when the problem began.

Hello grrrrrr,
Have you looked at the startup/service's programs to see what is running, maybe a software conflict.
Go to search and type "msconfig" enter, and open startup tab, look there and then open services tab and look there.

The fact that you cant complete a system restore may suggest that there are files that need sorting out first.
Follow the instructions in this tutorial and repair the system files first.
Then we can look at the programs you have running.

I have Panda 2010, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Spyware Doctor. I know I should only have one but I had the Windows Security Suite problem and in order to remove I needed those last 2 programs. What do you think it might be?

Did your computer come preinstalled with another anti virus product?

Yeah, I think so, Norton Anti-Virus. The thing is I really hate Norton and I uninstalled it. Do you think it might be software uncompatibility?

To completely get rid of Norton remnants is often difficult. Much grief can be the result, such as what you are experiencing.
Did you run the Norton Removal Tool when uninstalling?

Even though its the last thing you want to here when you have a a laptop, there might be something physically wrong with the motherboard. Otherwise, have you checked the fan grills, they could be blocked up.

So...here's an interesting thing. Yesterday was my b'day :D and I received a laptop cooler and guess what...the freezing stopped. I guess it was some overheating problem. Even though the problem was solved I ran the Norton Removal Tool because I don't want nothing left from Norton in my laptop.
Also, I tested my computer with SpeedFan and without the laptop cooler it runs at 60 degrees and now it runs smoothly at 30 degrees. According to Toshiba that I contacted the normal is 35 so I believe it really was an overheating problem...
