I logged on to my pc this morning to find that several keyboard shortcuts have suddenly come into being without my asking them to! two examples are that shift+p now opens windows media player, which is incredibly annoying when you're trying to type. another is that tab now no longer cycles through fields, but brings up a little window of open programs. it may just be coincidence, but this pc did an automatic install of updates last night. how can i clear these shortcuts that i don't want????
as an update, i have just noticed two files on my desktop titled desktop.ini
the first contains this:
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21799
the second contains this:
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21769
IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-183
[LocalizedFileNames]
Windows Media Player.lnk=@%SystemRoot%\system32\unregmp2.exe,-4
i presume these either have something to do with the cause of my problem, or are another symptom of it??
