Is there a quad processor available for my computer??

i have a Dell Inspiron 530. its a dual core. i was thinking of trading my computer in and getting a quad core computer.. ive already tried over-clocking it, wont do it. is there a quad processor that will interchange into my computer?

Hi tampa6969,

Checking the specifications reveals that you can install a quad-core processor into your system if it is either 530, 530a, or 530c model. Unfortunately, I could find no indication as to which particular processors are supported.

Its a LGA775 processor. So it will support the Intel Core 2 Quad Q8xx and Q9xx series
