Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

This article tell you to test on certain sites. If it works there they imply that it is the problem of the site

Richard, in an earlier post, he indicated in this post the page with the problem when I asked him the same question: http://www.vistax64.com/browsers-ma...lorer-cannot-display-webpage.html#post1305524. If he's using IE8 now, I'm not sure why he would need to get to that page as it is for IE7 (and I might assume it was intentionally blocked except for IE7 but I could get there using IE9 with no problems)

You receive an error message in Internet Explorer: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

We have to be practical with these things. If a reasonable solution cannot be found to a problem we need to look to other methods. My suggestion is to use the broswers that work. Many at the fourm use Firefox or Chrome.
It appears that for some reason you are blocked. You can try from another user account to verify.

You can have as many as you like. The one you like the best you set as default and it will always be the one used, unless you decide to use one of the others for a special reason.

Before download make a System Restore, if you do not like it you can go back.

Installation fail... make sure that your computer is connected to the internet and your firewall allow google upadate

OK so do that. Turn off firewall or set it to accept the download. I would just turn it off. You mentioned that you have other browsers to get online.

Try with clean boot or in safe mode

Your firewall may not be turned off. It may be part of the problem that you are having with IE, also.

Could you have two firewalls?
Maybe a firewall and another with the AV?
