Whenever Im in a secure https page I constantly get barraged with:

This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.
Do you want to display the nonsecure items?

is there any way to stop these?

Hello Swarfega,

In Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, uncheck "Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode" (bottom of scroll), and click OK.

hmm it was already unticked, so I ticked and unticked it again.

I believe there may also be a box you can check in that message to "Do not show me this message again".

There isnt, its just y/n. Maybe I need to lower the security level?

You might see if adding the website to the Trusted Sites list may help any.
(Tool, Internet Options, Security tab, click on Trusted Sites icon, Sites button, enter website, Add button, Close button)
