Sorry to ask the same question 800 times.. but ok.. break down..
If I find a unmolested Vista ISO DVD with no modifications, I SHOULD be able to format my hard drive and install it, and by using my current key (bottom of my laptop) I can put that in and have a legal version of Vista.. And in theory (extreme theory) this should fix my laptop :-p
Well, as far as fixing your laptop I can't say yes or no as we don't know what's causing the problem, but a clean install without all of HP's bloatware is a good place to start.
Well I am just going to do a complete reinstall with the bloatware and uninstall all the crap that I dont need :-p, I mean i think its safer in the longrun just in case the cd i get isnt working correctly :/. I will update you guys later on this to tell you if things are working fine :-p
Do the restore, do not remove anything. Use the PC for a bit and see if the problem is gone. If so, remove 1 item at a time and reboot, checking to make sure the problem hasn't returned afterwards, this way you can better isolate the cause if it crops up again.
