Help System crash

Hi

I have a problem when a play video games in my laptop. It shutdowns every 5 to 10 minutes will i am playing the game and i have tried a clean boot, checking for malware with a number of different anti-virus programs but still it wont stop doing it and the only clue is a 6008 error on event viewer. So if any one has any ideas please reply to this thread.
My laptop is Acer 8920g, C2D T5600 2GHz, 3GB Ram ddr2, ATI 3650 512Mb 128 bit, 250 gb Hd.

I think that error code just means you had an unexpected shutdown.
Have you checked your temps?

    Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset. Only ever used a laptop. Also use USB Freeview TV Card Lenovo Docking Station External Speakers Other bits a pieces as needed
try searching up that error code, it will give some clue to whats causing the problem.

Have you looked at Event Viewer for any Error codes or Issues?

To get to Event Viewer Follow this:

1. Click start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click system and maintenance
4. Click Administrative tools
5. Click Event Viewer


You will need to be an Administrator to do this

Hi all

Thanks for your replies. I tried checking for the error code and it only says that the system had an unexpected shutdown. On the event viewer there are no other error or event that indicates any thing to the problem when the system crashes ex: an information event is shown before the error event code(6008). Also no blue screen of death occur-res it just shuts down.
