help please

hello
i did some testing with winxp/sp2 64 bit and vista home prem
/sp1 64 bit.i'm not trying to start any wars here.just wanted to
see if anyone could maybe help me get vista running a little
better.i used a program called ( PerformanceTest V6.1 (64-bit))
and have both xp and vista on the same system.xp is on a w/d 160
gb hd. and vista is on a raid 0 (2 x 250gb) w/d hd's. here's my
findings.....

over all score 754.9 xp64bit sp2
over all score 629.3 vista home prem 64bit sp1

break down scores

xp64 / vista64/ lost

(cpu) 270.3 /267.0/ vista - 3.3

(2d) 106.7 /71.0/ vista - 35.7

(3d) 16.8/ 15.5 /vista - 1.3

(memory) 169.4 /168.5/ vista - 0.9

(disk) 83.7/ 109.1/ xp - 25.4

(cd drive) 108.6/ 8.2/ vista - 100.4

all my drivers are up to date on both systems. now the first thing
that jumps out is why xp can score 108.6 and vista only 8.2 on
cd drive. i run the test 3 times on vista even rebooted and tryed
again and thats the best score it gets.the other thing is the 2d
xp gets 106.7 and vista only gets 71.0. anyone no whats wrong with
the cd and 2d ? is there any tweaks or anything i can use to fix it ?

Not sure on the CD or 2D, but you can try these to see how much they can improve Vista's performance for you.
