Yep. I originally installed with 1 stick. I did that for two reasons:
a) I read that people have had a lot of trouble installing x64 with 4GB installed
b) I hadn't got it POSTING with 4GB by that stage....
Back when I was only running with 2GB, I tried each stick and they both appeared fine and stable. Hell, I even ran the Windows memory test in the Windows installation just for a laugh no errors BTW.
I've been in 7 for at least an hour and a half with no freezing /errors. I'm guessing the problem may lie with Vista somewhere. I'll sus it out. Eventually
I haven't run memtest yet, I plan to do that before I go to bed tonight and leave it run while I sleep.

It's behaved itself for over 2 hours in 7 and so far it's behaved itself in Vista. So yeah... :huh:
