Solved GPUZ question

:(Well, I went to Fry's to get the card, but I think I can get it cheaper online. FYI, from researching different cards, it seems that ATI is the only Co. staying ahead of the tech. curve as far as high performance hardware. GeForce and most others havent made it out of x32 single core sytem stage, at least not to the level they should be.
As far as Dell...well, I spend more money on a near off the shelf top end system(6 mos ago) and Ill never do it again.:)
They put JUST enough power and memory to make it run JUST ok. If I want a REALLY hot PC, I'll spend that much again in upgrades. Sad.
Sorry,I got on a rant there.

lol, been there, lamented that :)

Once you bite the bullet and build your own machine from scratch, you'll never go back ;)

As it stands, ATI cards are the quickest with the latest tech.

So far nvidia and their 'next big thing' have been nothing but rumors and fake benchmarks. The 300 series is 'supposedly' going to be better than anything ATI has to offer, but without any tangible evidence, it's just hearsay at this stage.

I'll bet. This was an expensive lesson to say the least. And by the time I get this one to 'be all it can be', it will be a dinosaur probably. Honestly, IMO it needs a new case and better fan, especially with bigger PSU and a card that I'm sure can get warm quick. Know anyone in the market for a gently used ATI card? :)
