Do you still have PC-Doctor for Windows installed and running?
If so, please uninstall it, then delte the folder :
c:\programdata\PC-Doctor for Windows. Reboot/ restart your computer.

Now,

I'd like you to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan

1. Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.

2. Click the

3. For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
   1. Click on
      
      to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
   2. Double click on the
      
      icon on your desktop.

6. Accept any security warnings from your browser.

9. ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.

Hello I can't find the PC-Doctor in my uninstall programs and I typed in C:\programdata\PC-DOCTOR FOR WINDOWS. and nothing comes up, I am sorry but I am a real Newbie so can you tell me how to do this. I am running the following. The list is where it's at and there are 2 different file folders, and thats all I can see unless you can tell me where to go and then I will un-install

Hello I found this one but it runs all of my Hardware Diagnostic's for everything in my computer so I am wondering how I will check my systems hardware if I delete it all.

This has kind of slipped my mind, because Jacee asked me if there was anything else going on with my computer and yes I just remembered that no matter what I do with the autoplay even after going in and trying to set it with different settings it will not respond, I can't get it to install software or movies or anything I have to go to control panel then computer and double click the E drive before it will do anything. Maybe this will tell Jacee something more I don't know and I am sorry that I forgot about the autoplay.

Although not nearly anywhere as complete, comprehensive, and feature-ridden as PC-Doctor Service Center Diagnostic Kit — more than 300 total hardware diagnostic tests — PC-Doctor, the following free Fresh Diagnose Fresh Diagnose - Free diagnostic software: analyze and benchmark your computer system. Test your pentium 4, pentium iii, pentium ii, pentium 5, pentium iv, pentium processor, intel pentium, pentium 4 processor, intel pentium 4, pentium 2, pentium pro might serve as a reasonable (though much less capable) substitute if Jacee is requesting you uninstall PC-Doctor. At least take a look at it to see if it will be acceptable. I could find few general hardware diagnosis programs and less that were free. I noticed the current pricing for PC-Doctor and I couldn't even find anything else that costly that would do the same job. Combined with specific diagnostic software for specific hardware devices (some but not all that PC-Doctor could do) which we can recommend for the hard drive and the video card for example, it may suffice.

Ultimately, we all just make recommendations. The decisions are yours. She would not have recommended uninstalling it unless she considered that appropriate given what she has learned about your system. Please post and inform Jacee about your decision concerning her suggestion about uninstalling PC-Doctor (which should be listed in Control Panel / Programs and Features and if you right click on it it should bring up an uninstall button which you can click to uninstall it) so she knows how to proceed given that information.

I hope the above works for you as a reasonable substitute or that you can choose to live without PC-Doctor despite the loss of the features and options it provides.

I want you to update your Java. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
• Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u23 allows end-users to run Java applications".
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
• Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u23-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

After doing the above, please run the Eset online scan, save the log, then copy and paste it in your next reply.

Hello Jacee I must be doing something wrong I held down the control button and clicked on the link which took me to there site and then they only had the ESET online scanner button so when I click that then another screen pops up and then you click the button for their rules and then nothing happens, I also have tried going on the net and pulling up there site with the same issues, I tried typing this also esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe which takes you to a whole bunch of sites none of them ESET's site so How would you like for me to proceed, and I also disabled my AV before and after with the same results.

I ran the test twice and came back with the same results but it did not do what your instructions say. Here is the second screen shot. It looks the same as the first so now what do I do, I followed your instruction sheet to the letter and if my system is free from malware of virus's what do I do about the PC-Doctor that was deleted and how do I run hardware diagnostis on my computer. This is what I did.

1. I clicked on the link you provided and it took me to the ESET Online Scanner.
2. I clicked start.
3. I made sure that I checked the SCAN ARCHIVES Box.
4. after following the instructions on the screen it started scanning.
5. When it was finished scanning I clicked finish.
6. It did the same thing and I made a screenshot agian.

The rest of your instructions did not happen, why I don't know but I did what you told me to do, First I printed your instructions so I could read from it while I looking at the screen also. So please let me know what to do next.
