File sharing keeps disconnecting

Yesterday i bought a new laptop, and i wanted to move some important files from my old desktop to my new laptop. I've copied the files i wanted on my old desktop to the public file, and on my new laptop, i;m using wireless to download the files. However, when i try downloading something over 2.39 GB, my wireless suddenly closes, meaning i have to reset my internet connection. This causes me to not be able to copy the files, so it's in the way.

i need a quick solution!, thanks!

Hi,

As a quick solution, use an external HDD on USB or burn them to a RW DVD & format the disk afterwards. You could just burn them to a DVD & keep the copy there, no need to put them on your new laptop then?

Burning to a disk is a good way to transfer files!!
