Hi all,
This is my first post on this forum (I just joined). I would like some help regarding the following matter:
I have to copy a personal .daa (PowerISO image) from a burnt DVD-R to any folder on my hard disk. When I try copying it using the normal Windows GUI, it fails at the last second with the error "The target volume does not support symbolic filenames".
I then tried copying using the xcopy command and got the same error.
I know that symbolic filenames and links are not supported on FAT partitions, but all my partitions are NTFS. Still, for good measure I tried copying the file to another partition without any luck.
I would like to know whether there is any way around this problem. Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
Regards,
Salman
