Fallout 3 - x86 Only?

I'm having an issue myself. I got Fallout 3 on Steam, but whenever I hit 'Play' on the splash screen, a window for the game opens and then it crashes. I've tried redownloading and verifying the files and whatnot, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Try downloading the patch off the Fallout 3 website. Steam might not download it, so you'll have to do it manually if you haven't already patched it.

Didn't work. The patch said "Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." This is really frustrating. I want to play this game!

Hmm... that's strange. F3 runs just fine on my system. I had no problems installing or anything. Actually, it's been one of the better installs I've done. Far Cry 2 gave me a lot of ****!

Wooo, Solved the issue, i was copying the image from original pc it was copied onto, and as soon as i ran virtual cdrom and booted through network, install worked fine (4 hour install) and currently playing fallout 3, WoOOOoOo mad game ;D
