Exchange Vista for XP?

I ran four businesses with Windows XP and Outlook Express email entities. I now have Vista and much to my chagrin, Windows Mail has no such option. I'd like to spend ten minutes alone with an aluminum baseball bat and the whiz kid who thought up that little improvement. Also, the idiotic way to create shortcuts in Vista. I run gun auctions on the internet and need to do shortcuts all the time for various auctions as they update.
I now have a Dell Studio XPS 435TM with 12 gig RAM. Can I uninstall Vista and reinstall my old XP program so I can replace Windows Mail with Outlook Express again? Thanks for any help you can give this old computer illiterate fossil! Thumbuster

Ken: Wow. That's great. Is it possible you could email me the instructions? I do have a 2007 XP DVD with matching tools and drivers and applications. I don't understand your term "partition", and I understand even less about computers in general. But I'm willing to follow your instructions to the letter, providing you write in dummy layman's terms. Sure do appreciate the help.

Umm i dont see why u want to uninstall Vista just to run outlook when u can run outlook in vista.

another option that u can use is download windows live mail...which i think is great bc i use it for 3 different aounts...live, msn, and gmail. heres the link for that.

Mail - Windows Live

now you said that you have 12gb of ram....i dont think XP will support that.

I don't want to run a hotmail, gmail, yahoo.com on and on ad nauseum. I'm not a game player or a youngster having fun on a computer because I'm bored otherwise. I'm 74 years old. I have a business ISP (Charter) with four accounts, i.e., [email adresses removed], and as an author and songwriter, [email address removed]. If XP won't support 12 gig RAM, why not? You say Outlook Express can be used in Vista? How so? Do I uninstall Windows Mail and download Outlook Express? From where? If you can tell me how to get back to using Outlook Express and how to make shortcuts to my auction web sites by simply right clicking the mouse, I've be forever grateful. thanks, Skip Kurtz
