Drop down bar?

Hello,

Can someone please tell how to get rid of the drop down bar which comes down when cursor is near the top of the screen I think its called the "support buttons", it has a habit of staying down which is very annoying.

This is not part of Vista. Instead it looks like it may be your drivers or software for your keyboard, or some software included and preinstalled with your OEM computer.

You might check your computer manufacturer's support or downloads website with your computer's model number to see if they have a newer driver or software version available that may work better.

On some laptops (my friend has one, I think it is a Toshiba) that bar pops up when you hit the fn (function) key. It has to do with the manufacturer's pre-installed software so I am going to reiterate what Brink said and ask that you check their websites to see if there is an update, or if others have posted this problem on their forums.
