I really would NOT recommend installation of this on anything other than a test machine.

Thanks for the post brink. I am not an idiot, I can't really afford to mess around with my system and I am not too keen on nasty surprises. It wouldn't be a total shock to you then if I said I'm taking your advice!

Yuk, anything pre-beta (Alpha) is an instant fail and more often that not its just something not worth the energy trying just yet

Ill wait for the beta, If this is out that means the beta will be out in the next 8 weeks or so

I'd have to agree. Pre-beta? I'm a little nervous with a regular beta. I'll wait until the bugs are worked out. Don't need a toaster with a monitor, keyboard and mouse

When it reaches the beta stage - as in beta 2 - i will jump in, i need my system far too much to fry it.

:D I usually enjoy trying out beta software and formating and clean installs about 4 times a year. Being as I am retired I have all the time in the world but for some reason I am skitish on this one. Maybe it is because my gray cells are dieing out.

I have seen that a beta is suppose to be released on 10-29-2008. I will update when I can confirm this with a download link for it.

Theres no bug with the Folder View settings, You just need to up the maximum allowed of saved folder settings from 5000 to something like 20,000 because that maximum of 5000 gets used very, very quickly

Change this registry key to increase the maximum allowed of saved folder settings
Key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\
DWord:"BagMRU Size"
New Value: "20000"
