Deleted my email program.

I was tired yesterday and accidentally deleted the email program from the start menu in Vista. The program is completely gone. How do I reinstall Winmail?

If you just deleted the entry in the Start Menu the program should still be installed.
Click the start button and in the search box type Windows Mail. Does it show in the results? If so, right click and Pin To Start Menu.

In addition,

The exe file for Windows Mail is located at C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\winmail.exe.

You can right click on the .exe file and click on Pin To Start Menu, or click on Send To and Desktop (create shortcut). Afterwards, place the shortcut in the Start Menu.

It appears that I have uninstalled the program completely. The program isn't on the machine at all. If it were any other version of windows I could just reinstall it. Vista is a little different.

And another thing! :sa: I right click on the desktop and create a new folder. I want to name it "work". It tells me the folder doesn't exist! I know it doesn't exist - I'm trying to create it!

If this was recent, then doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem may fix it for you.
