Delete file opened in another program

Its likely to be hidden.
Type in 'Folder options' in start menu search, and press enter. In the view tab, tick the 'Show hidden files and folders'. Is that hidden file showing now?

Already tried it, but tried it again. Still only 5 files showing in Document. Any other idea's?

It has been suggested to me that I uninstall Word and re-install it. Is it a good idea? Or would I best leave it alone.

At this juncture, I would make a system resore point, use revo to unistall. Then install again. You will need the key and DVD. If you feel the problem warrants.

Use this to uninstall. Sometimes the unistall from the Control Panel leaves remanants and then you cannot reinstall.

I would leave it alone. If you had a really serious problem, then it would make sense to uninstall and reinstall Word, but for something like this, which is a minor annoyance at worst, I would definitely leave it alone.

SOLVED

I took my Laptop to a computer shop. The man said that the template is a default template and cannot be deleted.

The file open, is Document 1, which is running in the background behind the dialogue box.

I am happy to know that I did not do anything wrong.

Ditto. And I'm so glad that was the answer, cause I was really scratching my head when closing and reopening explorer.exe didn't solve the problem.
