Defrag so slow

I'm not with you mate sorry, settings/program settings, do you mean in the Smart Defrag program itself? if you do then it does'nt have anything like that just options

I ran the disk cleanup earlier today

In auslogics disk defrag. I must have missed that you are using Smart defrag now.

Yes I decided to change it in the hope that it might be quicker and it is but it tells me over some of the items, that there's not enough disk space, and thats ridiculous

I did notice an option in the Smart Defrag that says "Skip files larger than 1 Gig" not sure if thats advisable though

You should be closing down all apps running in the tray/background before running defrag or any malware scans...
That being said i don't do this and Auslogics still finishes a 500G and a 120G in under 10 minutes.

Did you re-install the MBoard drivers ? ?
Any Yellow !!'s in Device Manager ? ?
Something still is not right here...

Oh yes I always close down apps for that

Am yet to do the Motherboard drivers, will later, I do indeed have a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, but I know what it is, its this blasted Abit UGuru Utility and that screws my system up, so I am not even going to go there to fix it, I'm sick of that rubbish

My Computer bloke said and as the saying goes, if it aint broke, don't fix it and thats what I am going to do

I have got two threads pretty much going on about the same things on and off, so just to let you know I have put the latest in the "Its all going Belly up" thread

Suffice to say here that things are looking much better now, so many thanks for your help
