Cursor Froze in middle No mouse will work.

I have Norton and it detected one low level tracking cookie which is now gone. I am not connected to the net right now on that computer because of this issue.

You said that the mouse was HP. Go to HP site and try to download drivers

already download drivers, including mouse suite. But they do not show up. in safe mode the mouse under control panel the mouse icon is not there

ok in regular mode, Vista or the computer does not know what a mouse is. Safe mode the same.

What happens if you open device manager and unplug the mouse and plug it in again, Does the device manager refresh?

did complete system recovery the computer still has no mouse drivers and will not show up in device manager. serious hardware issue just can not understand why everything else works fine in the usb ports. maybe the powersupply is going bad.

Do you have another mouse to try or have you tried the mouse in a friends computer?

No it does not show up in device manager when i plug it in none of the mice will but anything else i plug in shows up in the device manager.

Yes tried 4 mice all together. They all do the samething...nothing but light up.. Yes the mice work on the other 3 computers in the house.
